So the heat is just intensifying and we are having lots of difficulty teach in the afternoons since everybody works so we basically just walk around melting until about 5:00 when our work finally starts. The beginning of the week was going rough, we had received tons of member references last week so we decided to contact them all, and we did, without much success. Few lessons, and few new investigators.
But we kept working, we contacted all the references, and then bam miracle.
Can you see the theme yet? Do everything possible in your power, and then God does His part, which always is much much better.
The assistants called and passed on a reference from the Espirito Santo mission. We arrived at their door, and they let us in as if they were expecting us(which is a little strange usually we have to do some kind of introduction) Ivonette, the mother explained that her sister and her family are all members and they had spent the holidays with her family. During this two week period the Elders ate lunch with that member family, visited, had family home evening, invited Ivonette's son to play soccer and passed their address, to us! So when we arrived they knew just who we were. We taught the first lesson and they all heartily accepted. We returned the next day and Ivonetter had had a really cool dream about baptism.
Golden family if there ever was one.
We walked out of that lesson walking on air with much more determination to, well, work more and after we found two other great families! Antonio was interviewed, and the week ended excellently!
Zone conferences and our divisions start this week so well, time is just going to fly.
