What a week. We started out our week pretty rough, Sister Nagilla was stuffed up because of allergies, I got extremely sick, it rained, all our appointments fell through, we fasted for our mission conference to happen with Elder Holland, yet for the third time the treat of a mission conference with a general authority was taken away after being offered, and our baptism with Michael also didnt happen, he moved to Northern Brasil.
Let me tell you, I didnt think things were going very well.
But! We were praying and fasting the whole time through, for Michael for Elder Holland, and well while those were not the blessings we recieved, we were blessed in completely different ways, that ended up being much better than how we had planned out the week. We got to go on divisions with the relief society presidency and with the sister training leaders Friday and Saturday and in the process we found 10 new investigators, 9 of which came to church yesterday! We now have so much potencial and people to work with this week and month to progress towards our super zone baptism at our opening stake conference at the end of the month. If we had had our conference with Elder Holland or our baptism with Michael, we would have been traveling and not have found any of our 10 new investigators.
Do you see how the Lord works? While our week did not go according to plan, it had a magnificent ending and truly His way just is better.
Other fun things of the week, Sister Figeuroa had her 21st birthday Pday so we all went to Parque Panema, had a picnic, played volleyball, got to wear pants!(weird) eat cake and do some yoga! It was really fun but wiped us out. You would think that climbing miles of mountains every day would prepare you for the occasional sports play, but no, we got super sore!
For her birthday the ward mission leader Evandro and his wife Cida made her a bunch of brasilian pizzas which were delicious and his dalmation just had a million little PUPPIES! Dalmation puppies! I almost died they were so cute.
My testimony of working with members and using family home evening only grows more every week, its something I really have learned to ultilize in this area. We had two this week, and there is just a special spirit teaching investigators and recent converts in the homes of members.
All in all, I am fairly certain that this month will end up being the best and most eventful month of my mission, as we keep finding amazing people, prepare for our stake conference and theoretically my last month in Ipatinga.
Best wishes!
